Your Internet Footprint: Creating Online Visibility for Effective Marketing

By Dave Lostracco

September 16, 2010

Dave Lostracco is a creative, multi-disciplinary executive with over thirty years of success in network television broadcasting.

Dave’s career began with Rock n’ Roll, playing local gigs in the Niagara Falls, NY area. When Dave’s band, Onyx, went to record a demo, he enjoyed the studio environment so much he bought the recording studio, and so at age 19 he owed his first business.

From there, Dave moved on from audio to video, taking a ground floor position with the Satellite News Channel in 1982. There, Dave worked his way through virtually every broadcast position there was, landing the role of VP Operations & Engineering for Group W/Ascent Media.

At Group W/Ascent Media, Dave was involved with and eventually led the design, construction and day to day operations of networks such as A&E Television Networks, Discovery Networks, YES, NFL Sunday Ticket, The Travel Channel, Speedvision, Outdoor Life, Viewer’s Choice PPV, and countless others.

Of note, is that Dave and his team led Group W/Ascent Media to advance the industry, being the first multi-network origination facility to convert to 100% digital file-server origination for 24/7 broadcast network origination (except of course for live).

Alas, the advance of that very technology and several corporate buyouts provided Dave an early retirement. So, Dave tried his hand at sales and was recognized as the top selling account executive for Orkin Commercial Services in New England.

Dave then returned to his technical/media roots by getting involved in the Internet. First in e-commerce, then local search marketing, and now offering a full array of Internet services from hosting and web development, to search marketing and media production. Of course, Dave has always maintained a professional recording studio at home and invests his time teaching guitar, recording young bands, and generally mentoring youth in music and arts.
